This role will lead the strategic optimisation on organic social media platforms for visibility and engagement to support business growth.

You will be central to transforming The LEGO Group’s marketing model to one that is more anchored in our advantages in owned, earned and shared media. It will help to make our marketing more real-time, culturally relevant and community based. Your leadership will ignite creativity, foster a sense of belonging among LEGO enthusiasts, and elevate organic social media interaction to new heights!
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Based on brand objectives and audience needs, craft the LEGO brand’s unique presence on key relevant social media platforms.
- Lead an effective organic social strategy, optimizing content for algorithmic discovery and audience engagement.
- Foster a creative and engaging online community, including creators and streamers.
- Lead a high-performing team experts to manage an always-on suite of channels.
- Develop and improve our organic social media capabilities including expertise in areas of metadata, publishing strategies, channel and content optimization and monetization, ensuring strong performance on all platforms.
- Successfully manage each LEGO branded social media channel to achieve critical objectives and key results, including optimizing audience growth and channel health.
- Engage internal stakeholders in managing the appropriate balance between channel and franchise performance.
- Integrate social listening insights into product and marketing strategies.
- Lead the innovation and adoption of emerging social media trends and platforms to keep LEGO at the forefront of digital engagement.
- Manage key relationships with third party social media platforms to develop and implement mutually value creating partnerships and innovations.
- Work with our internal creative agency to drive the creation of compelling content that strengthens LEGO brand affinity among key audiences.
- Spearhead the integration of organic and paid social media campaigns, ensuring seamless alignment with the overall marketing strategy and brand objectives.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
- Proven experience in social media marketing or digital media strategy, with a significant focus on organic content.
- Demonstrated experience in building and leading social media teams for established global brands.
- Strong leadership in driving transformational change, with demonstrable experience of delivering innovative, brand defining digital growth plans through collaboration, creativity and partnerships.
- Extensive expertise in developing and implementing organic social media strategies with a global reach, that align with brand values/strategy and achieve significant engagement.
- Outstanding communication, collaboration and presentation skills, with the ability to translate digital jargon into compelling, tangible plans,
- Seasoned in effectively partnering with creative agencies and media partners to bring out the best in them in delivering brand and business results.
- A strong understanding of content creation trends, influencers and formats.
- Proficient in the use of social media analytics tools and able to adapt optimization strategies based on performance data.
- Strong editorial sense and ability to develop social-first content ideas.
