At BESTSELLER, we’re looking for a Senior Merchandise Financial Planner to drive success across our merchandise planning and join our dedicated Merchandise Planning Team.
YOUR TEAM
You will join our Assortment & Merchandise Planning Team at BESTSELLER, and work in close collaboration across our various brands, markets, and channels. The team is comprised of highly skilled professionals dedicated to advanced forecasting and optimizing business opportunities. In this role, you will work closely with brand buyers, trading teams, performance marketing to drive sustainable business growth and the Data Science Department to support the development of our advanced AI forecasting tools.
YOUR IMPACT
As Senior Merchandise Financial Planner you will support the business in identifying top-down & bottom-up targets to maximize sales and achieve margin goals for the individual brand and across channels.
You will be responsible for optimizing business opportunities, forecast accuracy, and category performance based on history and current trends. You will work closely with the brands, when it comes to merchandising, category management, commercial planning, and financial management to secure strong sales development, effective demand planning, and achieve our ambitious business targets.
Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:
- Responsible for the creation/maintenance of preseason and annual demand & inventory plans in collaboration with merchandising, planning, capacity, commercial, and finance teams.
- Responsible for the continual adjustment of the inseason forecast to identify gaps and opportunities vs the preseason plan.
- Collaborate with the merchandising and category management teams each season to develop and propose category SKU counts and financial targets aimed at improving profitability.
- Maintain the MFP tool and be responsible for updating monthly channel-level forecasts each season with thorough validation to ensure accuracy.
- Tracks product/category performance and uses analytics to identify key insights, and the latest trends, and recommends solutions to improve profitability.
- Creates/maintains hindsight analysis to impact future seasons’ plans around volume, margin, and productivity.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE
You are analytical and have a natural aptitude for solving complex problems. With strong communication skills and a keen attention to detail, you excel at navigating cross-functional environments and building positive working relationships. You are organized and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising on quality or deadlines.
Your background includes:
- 3-5+ years’ experience in merchandise planning, demand planning, buying, or financial planning; preferably in the consumer goods, footwear, or fashion/apparel industry
- A relevant education within business, finance, merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent years of relevant and related experience
- Exposure to multi-dimensional planning is an advantage (Multi-Category, Multi-Channel, Multi Geography)
- Proficiency in Excel with BI skills is a plus, python also a plus
