Overview:
Mastercard Payments Services (MPS) consist of three legal entities reporting to an independent Board of Directors, with a single Executive Leadership team. The MPS Chief Executive Officer (CEO) needs a single member of the Executive Leadership team to oversee that Finance activities are aligned with the organization's strategic objectives, deliver on the strategic initiatives and operate in line with our customer and regulatory commitments on a day-to-day basis.
The role shall work closely with the CEO and will be mandated responsibilities for the financial operations of MPS. This includes, ensuring adherence with the budget as approved by the Board, as well as adhering to regulatory requirements within the financial area, e.g., bookkeeping, auditing, and taxation.
The Role will be a close advisor to the CEO on all matters related to Finance and support the CEO in engaging with the Board of Directors on matters around Finance. The role will also actively participate in the development of a new long-term strategy for MPS.
Role:

1. Serve as the lead finance business partner for the global Bill Pay organization, including MPS.
2. CEO Support: Being a trusted advisor for the CEO on finance related matters to the MPS Board of Directors which includes reports regarding quarterly reports, budget submissions, interim accounts and annual accounts.
3. Financial operations: Ensure that the operating model for finances in Bill Pay is fit for purpose and working effectively and being able to support all key stakeholders both in the wider Mastercard Group as well as the MPS entities. Drive process improvement initiatives to continuously improve forecast accuracy, billing, cash collection and other key areas to achieve efficiencies and improvements in financial controls.
4. Reporting: Provide monthly and periodic reports on financial performance, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and budget adherence to be reported to MPS Executive Leadership team, Board of Directors and wider Mastercard Group.
5. Planning, forecasting and budgeting : provide updates on financial planning, forecasting and budgeting, including any significant changes in financial outlook including status updates on capital adequacy, funding needs, regulatory capital requirements, and future capital projections.
6. Internal Audit actions: Ensure the business works towards resolution of internal audit actions in a timely manner.

Key stakeholders for the role:
- MPS Chief Executive Officer, Executive Leadership Team and Executive committee: The role will be a part of the Executive Leadership team of the entities.
• The Board of Directors: Together with the CEO engage on matters related to Finance and actively ensuring that the Board lives up to statutory requirements in approving budgets, annual accounts and other submissions as required by law.
• Group Finance functions: Actively engage with all teams that are part of serving the operations of MPS. Working with finance teams in MPS and in the wider Mastercard Group to manage cost, monitor financial performance, and right size cost base.
• Overall Bill Pay Product lead.

• Comfortable interacting with all levels of management
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
