Research Assistant in Research Group for Molecular & Reproductive Toxicology – DTU Food

Are you passionate about how environmental chemicals affect health? Our dynamic research group explores the impact of early-life chemical exposure on long-term health, with a special focus on reproductive disorders and the thyroid-brain development axis. From advanced cell assays to comprehensive in vivo studies, we employ a wide range of innovative techniques to uncover how chemicals—especially endocrine disruptors—may contribute to disease. In addition to our research, we provide expert advice to national and international agencies on chemical safety. We are looking for an enthusiastic and versatile Research Assistant to support our diverse projects. Responsibilities and qualifications
You will support a variety of research projects, performing essential laboratory work such as RNA isolation, qPCR, immunohistochemistry, RNAscope, histological staining and assessments, and more. Experience with histology is highly desirable, as this will make up a significant portion of the work initially. You’ll also assist with rat toxicity studies, with methods tailored to ongoing projects and close coordination with team members. Aside from some lab experience, your eagerness to learn new techniques and drive results are what matter most. Your role will also involve managing and organizing data to support the team’s research.

As a formal qualification, you must have a master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.

The period of employment is for up to 2 years. Starting date will be decided by mutual agreement.
