We are looking for a B2B Business Process & Risk Lead who will join our Commercial B2B team. The position will be a pivotal role within the Commercial B2B Function to further improving process-, risk culture and commercial ownership within process and risk management. To be successful in the role you will work closely with other functions to ensure compliant and strong commercial operations, aligned with our business objectives and overall risk appetite.

As B2B Business Process & Risk Lead you will ensure compliance with internal risk management framework and external regulations including proper internal control framework, incident management, operational risk management and BCM. The work is done in close cooperation with the Chief Commercial Officer B2B, to secure proper governance of the Commercial B2B Function incl. needed documentation via appropriate steering documents etc. The role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer B2B.

You will lead the Process Management and Risk management areas from a commercial perspective. The work includes preparing and presenting regular reports on commercial support activities, including risk management and process efficiency.

You will also support the Chief Commercial Office B2B in enhancing the risk culture in the Commercial Function by relevant actions, training sessions, best practices, etc. Lead and drive status reporting of function specific findings, compliance breaches, risks etc. Assist the function in evaluating or investigating of specific compliance breaches as required.

The B2B Business Process & Risk Lead coordinates and supports regular risk assessments and audits to identify areas of concern and implement appropriate mitigation plans. Run the Commercial Functional Operational Risk Committee. The role is SPOC for 2nd line Compliance and 2nd line Risk cooperating and assisting the DPO and Privacy manger regarding GDPR topics. In addition, you manage new regulation applicable for the Commercial B2B Function and drive implementation together with the commercial organization and other relevant functions.

Key responsibilities

  • Process management: Manage material and key Commercial B2B processes. Ensuring compliance, enhanced clarity of roles and responsibilities between collaborating functions, and increase efficiency incl. appropriate SLA’s to raise partner satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify process improvements, ensure alignment with business objectives and controls in relation to risk and process management.
  • Monitor and evaluate process performance, implementing corrective actions including controls in relation to risk and process management as necessary together with the Function.
  • Risk Management and Culture: Support in implementing applicable process steering documents. Follow up and report on adherence.
  • Be knowledgeable of risk and compliance processes to support Chief Officer and function on best practice processes.
  • Coordinate and support regular risk assessments and audits, to identify areas of concern and implement appropriate mitigation plans.

Are you the one for Ikano Bank?
You have a background in the banking and risk management area with a combination of governance and process knowledge from a business perspective as well as management experience. Demonstrated knowledge in compliance and relevant regulation areas is needed and a track record from the governance area is required.

You are business-oriented, proactive, results-driven and motivated by having a key role in a pan European organisation. Your personality is characterised by the ability to work independently and being self-motivated, but also by a relationship-building approach. You comfortably deal with management, staff and external contacts in a professional manner.
The work-location is one of our Nordic offices in the bank. However, for the right candidate, we are open to other work locations where Ikano Bank is located.

Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience within Operational Risk management
  • Passionate about disseminating risk management culture into our business with a commercial mindset
  • Proven knowledge and experience of the 1st line Risk Management Framework in B2B financial services
  • Able to assess and implement oversight controls that deliver effective governance and quality assurance
  • Proven knowledge and experience of the Process Management including continuous process improvements
  • Coordinate and support regular risk assessments and audits to identify areas of concern and implement appropriate mitigation plans
  • Proficient in English as well as one of the Scandinavian languages, comfortably communicating in both languages
