Are you our new Experience Design Director, who is passionate about making a significant impact on customer experience and the team that designs them? We are accelerating the digital product development for both our customers and our colleagues. It’s an exciting time to build your legacy by designing the new digital experiences, reaching millions of people across the Nordics, and strengthen our design language team and culture across Nordea.
About this opportunity
This unique experience provides you with the responsibility to lead one of our design teams to ideate, design and implement an innovative design vision for our digital platforms across the Nordics. We are looking for someone that can weave together the business, customer and design vision into an inspiring solution that excites our customers and our colleagues. This means that you will partner with your peers and the Head of CX & Design, to build the vision and priorities. Furthermore, your role is essential in translating and evolving that customer tested vision with your team before build. Like you would hope for, you are also responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of skilled designers to successfully iterate and implement the design with the agile delivery teams. Are you just as inspired to improve things for our team as for our customers? Are you convinced design and design thinking are essential in building impactful experiences? Then we want your expertise and passion to help us bring design practices into the agile delivery model and, eventually, to the rest of Nordea.
Overall, your focus areas include:
- Partnering with the Head of CX & Design to align the CX strategy and the responsible business area vision
- Getting design to collaborate in lockstep with the head of the responsible business area and the lead architect to set a balanced direction
- Inspiring, leading and developing your design team
- Working with the UX, Service and Content designers to shape, evolve and approve innovative designs
- Partnering with our in-house Design Research team to research and test designs that incorporate customer feedback into final solutions
- Working with senior leaders, fellow design directors, designers and delivery teams to implement an iconic design experience, across a large-scale agile program
- Building capabilities and knowledge within the design team on the latest tools and techniques, customer needs, behaviour and perceptions, as well as business and industry drivers
Who you are
We are looking for an inspirational person that can lead and motivate our team to creatively solve complex design problems by considering various perspectives, gathering meaningful insights, and then building solutions with our customers.
To be successful, we are looking for a person that has rich experience bringing the user-centric design vision to live and working across business, technology and design. We are also looking for a person that is genuinely interested in mentoring and nurturing other designers to help them grow within their team, their assignments and their skillset.
You will be one of the directors responsible for creating a significant impact on our people and customers, so you must have an adaptive mindset, a profound interest in what drives our customers and business and possess know-how of what is technically possible.
Besides leading a team, you will be collaborating with a diverse set of specialists and working with other leaders regularly. This requires that your capabilities include the ability to facilitate innovation, to influence people across various areas and levels of the organisation with strong stakeholder management, and inspiring communication skills.
Primary qualifications:
