You will contribute to our work on piloting new ways of doing development advocacy in Denmark, with an ambition to scale to other countries and regions.

About Dalberg Media
Dalberg Media is a mission-driven communications and experience consultancy, which seeks to empower and mobilize people to solve global development challenges by collective, sustained action. We design and deliver communication products to build awareness and push agendas. We invent and execute action-oriented experiences, such as global convenings, innovation labs and campaigns to equip people with the skills needed for developing impactful solutions. Through content creation, publications, and social media, we disseminate compelling stories to fuel positive change.

We are doers and creators working in close cooperation with a global network of partners and organizations, including United Nation agencies, international foundations, large corporations, governments, NGOs, and financial institutions. We are a culturally attuned organization with a passion for diversity, changing narratives, and overcoming stereotypes.

ABOUT THE ALLIANCE for Global SUNDHED
You will be working full-time as part of the Secretariat for the new Alliance for Global Health (Alliancen for Global Sundhed), established in 2024 as a new independent initiative bringing stakeholders together with a common mission: bolstering Danish support for global health.

Why a Danish Alliance for Global Health?
Health and well-being for everyone is the key to a sustainable future. Investments in global health support the most vulnerable and at-risk populations, reduce inequality and support the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Collaboration is essential, especially in low-income countries, where overlapping and protracted crises have deepened existing health inequalities. Robust health systems require significant investment and rely on international support and innovative financing strategies. Denmark's leading position in global health is threatened by recent years' changes in official development assistance (ODA), which endanger our traditional positions of strength in global health, multilateralism and support for the least developed countries.

We are a politically independent alliance with a vision to enable long and healthy lives for everyone, everywhere.

We are dedicated to increasing and improving development support for the world's poorest and most vulnerable populations.

We bring together civil society, the private sector, foundations and research institutions with a common mission: bolstering support for global health and maintaining Denmark’s frontrunner position.

Our goal is to create a movement that informs development priorities in Denmark and beyond. We need a strong voice in the fight for sexual and reproductive health and rights, universal health coverage, vaccines, joint efforts against major epidemics such as tuberculosis, HIV and malaria and other major challenges of our time.

Our approach – we influence through direct advocacy; public debate and awareness; capacity building; and data and analyses.

DO YOU BREAK THE MOULD?
We are looking for innovative and highly motivated individuals with genuine interest in advocacy, strategic communication and a passion to influence the global development agenda. We expect you to have strong written and analytical skills, as well as solid knowledge in Danish and international political systems, and development space.

Our ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Ongoing / recent graduate of bachelor's or master's degree in public/ global health, political science, international relations, development studies or a related field with excellent academic record
  • You write/speak fluent Danish and English, with excellent proficiency in both languages, and have:
    • Interest in Danish politics and international development
    • Solid writing abilities and a flair for communication
  • It would be an advantage if you also:
    • Have knowledge of and interest in global health
    • Have worked with PowerPoint or similar programs

We encourage individuals to apply even if they do not meet every single listed criteria. We believe in considering candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and we value the unique perspectives and skills they can bring to our team.

Qualified and interested candidates irrespective of age, gender, race, religion, background, or ethnic affiliation are encouraged to apply for the vacancy.

not just another intern
As our intern, you will be an equal member of the team and play a crucial role across the entire project phase, from research and analysis to execution and implementation.

This commitment also extends to our staff. Throughout your internship, you will receive tailored mentoring and training from our senior team. This will help you structure your personal and professional development during your time at Dalberg Media while also empowering you with the skills necessary to take real ownership of the work you're contributing to.

You will be delegated significant responsibilities and should thus be ready to take on various roles and work independently and in a structured manner. You will be part of a small and dynamic team that works closely together, and you will work with colleagues on all levels as well as directly with our clients and partners.

SIX MONTH INTERNSHIP
We are looking for interns to conduct six-month full-time internships (37 hours), starting in February 2025.

The six-month internship is specifically tailored to provide you with the necessary foundation for the development sector.
