Core Responsibilities
- Develop and drive the formation of a biodiversity strategy that is beneficial to both the LEGO Group and natural world in collaboration with senior leadership, implementation partners, and external experts
- Establish targets and performance indicators to measure success in various aspects of the value chain, and monitor and provide guidance on progress towards these indicators.
- Establish effective guidelines for activities benefiting nature, including site-level development and actions beyond the value chain.
- Work with cross-functional operational teams to develop roadmaps for implementation of strategies and metrics
- Work with partners and suppliers to better understand their effect on the LEGO Group’s footprint and develop programs to track and elevate their profiles

The Nature Impacts team sits within the core LEGO Group Sustainability department and defines the global strategies for Water, Waste, and Biodiversity across the value chain, as well as beneficial actions to carbon and nature that sit outside the value chain.
The Biodiversity Global Lead will work with Senior Leadership to develop the strategy that will define the LEGO Group’s overall relationship to the natural world. They will also shape the guidance, metrics, and standards which will allow the LEGO Group to assess its progress towards these goals.
Do you have what it takes?
- Environment Sciences, Biology, Ecology, or related degree preferred
- Proven experience in global corporate strategy, sustainability, or environmental management with a focus on biodiversity or ecology
- In depth knowledge of standards, governmental regulations, sustainability practices, and developing targets
- Excellent communication skills around the explanation of technical topics to a myriad of stakeholders
- Development of sustainability metrics and proven track record of adaptation and adherence in global corporate setting
- External network of experts in related fields who can be consulted on industry standards and proven methods
