You will be based at our Head office in Hørsholm and join the Regulatory Intelligence & Conformity (RIC) team. You will report to the Senior Manager of the RIC team, which is part of VELUX Products & Innovation. Although you will be in the RIC team, you will be working together with a larger cross functional team including colleagues from Standardisation & Technical Advocacy and from Global Public Affairs with colleagues in the markets.

We are working with the regulations relevant to our products, these include national regulations (such as Energy, Fire Safety, Mechanical properties, Acoustics etc.) and EU regulations including but not limited to Construction Product Regulation, Machinery Regulation, EU Battery regulation, Cybersecurity and several Chemical regulations.

This position is a very central role with high visibility, and you will have a key role in ensuring that the right information is available for the right people at the right time, thereby playing an essential role in shaping the requirements for VELUX product development.

What you will do
You will be responsible for the overall monitoring process and the database of current and future legislative requirements applicable to our present and future products. You will also perform agile monitoring of legislative requirements for ad-hoc product development needs. You will achieve this in collaboration with Global Public Affairs colleagues in the local markets, regulatory specialists in your team, and to some extent with external experts/consultants.

You will facilitate timely communication of the regulatory development and trends towards VELUX stakeholders within product development and advocacy.

You will work closely with Global Product Management and Product Development teams through dialogues and as part of our product development processes

Your primary responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the overall monitoring process of current and upcoming legislative requirements applicable for VELUX products at national level (primarily European Markets).
  • Make sure VELUX database on legislative requirements remains up to date by gathering regular updates from Global Public Affairs colleagues in the markets, from yourself and from team colleagues
  • Secure the clarity of data for product development by ensuring the review of legislative updates by internal experts.
  • Regularly communicate updates of major legislative evolutions towards product development and product management
  • Supervise the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of VELUX internal data collection tool.
  • Proactively collecting and assessing legislative intelligence.
  • In dialogue with relevant stakeholders, evaluate the relevancy of new intelligence and take necessary corrective actions if needed.
  • Based on an analysis of legislative knowledge gaps, build and maintain a network of external experts to support our legislative intelligence needs in our markets.

Who you are
You are motivated, well-structured and curious, and you come with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Moreover, you possess great collaboration and communication skills making you capable of communicating initiatives and strategy proposals to different types of stakeholders. We will come to know you as team-focused, working towards our common goals, and taking responsibility for your own tasks and responsibilities to get there.

We are looking for a person with a strong knowledge foundation coupled with an educational background in e.g. engineering, business management, or regulatory affairs fields. You have 5+ years relevant job experience, and you are skilled at cross cultural cooperation, and ideally experienced from working with product related regulations. You may come from a position in regulatory affairs in a multinational company as regulatory affairs manager, project manager, or perhaps you are a consultant in the building industry, a legislative specialist, or something similar. We are open to candidates from diverse background and look forward to hearing how you can contribute.

It is required that you are fluent in written and spoken English. Good knowledge of additional European languages such as German, French, Danish, Spanish, Italian is a bonus.
