Cobol software engineer (senior) - New archive platform

We are looking for a
Senior cobol developer
for our team – New archive platform. We are a part of the Core Banking Domain, which in turn is a part of Engineering Platforms division. We develop products and concepts for Core banking. We are in the process of moving our existing archive platform towards a new SaaS and need your help with this in both conversion of data, changing the current integrations and leaning up data. As a Mainframe Developer, you will play a key role in building our Business Solutions. You will be a part of a dynamic team of four Business Analyst, one QAC and ten Software developers, 3 Team architects.
Your main tasks & responsibilities will be:
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code to support varied and complex IT solutions, that fulfil the requirements of our customer.
- Be able to design the architecture of a solution and drive the development.
- Engaging directly with customers to develop a better understanding of their needs.
- Knowledge with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum to ensure an iterative and adaptive approach to development.
- Preparing technical and procedural documentation associated with IT development.
- Collaborating with the Product Owner and other teams across the organization to ensure the best possible solutions for incoming business requirements.
- Master execution of changes in current system (DB2)
To suceed you will have:
- Min. 5 years of relevant experience in Cobol, CICS, DB2, JCL, SQL, IDz/RDz, Erwin and a positive approach towards Unit testing.
- English at a high level both in writing and orally working in teams in Denmark and Poland
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Git/BitBucket, JIRA, API, Java, Kafka.
- Experience of working in the financial sector
- Proven project management skills running IT projects.
- Problem Management. Conducting various analysis such as root cause or pareto to finding the source of a problem.
