We are looking for a highly motivated and result-oriented person to take part of our growing Product Compliance team to maintain and manage our product compliance (such as testing, certification and advising in safety design). As Product Safety Specialist you will report to Senior Manager, Safety & Digital Product Compliance, Thomas Young Olesen, Denmark.
What is the job about?
The purpose of this job is to ensure the safety compliance of GRUNDFOS products, from their idea and design throughout their entire product lifecycle. This is a particular exciting task at GRUNDFOS, because we serve a lot of products in a very big world.
Being on top of your game as a subject matter expert is the signature of our team, so we expect you to be full of motivation to grow and learn, both as a person and a specialist.
Your main responsibilities:
- Identify and specify product safety compliance obligations and requirements
- Define assurance plan and requirements to justify product safety compliance
- Manage certification projects with third party testing labs
- Perform conformity assessment to product safety requirements and obligations
- Knowledge sharing within the safety team and across the compliance organization
- Deliver training to colleagues and collaboration partners across Grundfos
- Process improvement
- Tools and methods development
- Training material development
- Maintaining up-to-date with new product safety requirements and standards
- Attending training, courses, conferences and other
Your background
We imagine that you have:
- A degree in Engineering or equivalent (preferably Electrical/Electronics) combined with a good understanding of mechanics
- Fluent English (oral & written)
- A good brain and the motivation to learn and grow
- Interest in electrotechnical standards, for example, IEC 60335, IEC 60730, IEC 60204, etc.
- Generally a good understanding of how technical things work
It's a plus if you have experience with
- Product compliance and 3rd party approvals
- Product safety standards as part of product development
- Design and test of electromechanical systems and the interconnection of electromechanical parts
- Risk assessment and compliance testing of electromechanical systems
