KT is a group of experts within respective fields or areas providing industry, functional and geographic expertise to consulting teams. KT members are aligned to Practice Areas, sometimes serving as members of case or project teams. KT offers insight into a topic or function derived from BCG's knowledge base and case/project experience. The members of our DRS team work alongside consulting team colleagues to bring advanced research capabilities to support projects and clients. KCS team is a cross-functional team equipping BCGers with internal and external knowledge resources and digital collaboration tools, enabling them to work smarter and with increased productivity.
What You'll Do
As a Lead Knowledge Analyst (LKA) in a Client Focused role within BCG's Public Sector Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized knowledge assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data and related expertise, etc.). You will contribute to proposals and cases through thought partnership in your area of expertise, deliver original analyses and insights helping drive strong impact with clients. While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.
You will support commercialization efforts for the topic/sector working, in conjunction with business leaders, providing insights & advice for proposals and client workshops. Additionally, as a Lead Knowledge Analyst, you will lead development of intellectual property & assets for the business and mentor and guide junior colleagues based on your topic/sector expertise. BCG's Public Sector practice work with governments to create long-lasting, positive impact for citizens and society. We do this by drawing on BCG's unmatched functional expertise, combined with our team's deep experience working with and for public sector organizations all over the world. Specifically on the Economic Development, Government Finances, and Center of Government (EFC) topic, we focus on collaborating with governments to manage economic growth complexities, optimize public finances, and enhance high-level policy-making and implementation. This encompasses designing national economic priority strategies, optimizing fiscal management systems, and effectively utilizing assets, while driving cross-government efforts to achieve these goals. Though these concentrated efforts, BCG empowers decision-makers to achieve greater efficiency and impact, fostering sustainable economic growth and improving citizens' wellbeing amidst global uncertainties.
You're good at:
- Solving complex client problems through relevant analytical approaches and customized solutions in your area of expertise

What You'll Bring
3+ years consulting experience in Public Sector required, candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred In lieu of consulting experience, 4+ years minimum industry experience required; 6-10+ years of industry experience strongly preferred Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred) Strong problem-solving capabilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Deep understanding and expertise in issues pertaining to Public Sector clients (e.g., Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Development, Ministry of Defense) with strong understanding of welfare states Fluency in English; and any of the Nordics languages (Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Icelandic and Swedish).

As a Client Focus KT, you will work face to face with clients and with BCG Project Leaders, Associates and Consultants. In the period between cases, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight. BCG's Knowledge Team members are staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information.
