We are hiring an ETRM Business Analyst for our IT department. This position is for you, if you enjoy a varied workday where the fruits of your labor are used immediately, and if you want influence within a leading energy trading company.

Within the field of software development, this in an exciting position, and a position you can sculpt to your liking. As an ETRM Business Analyst, you will have a natural drive and love to take the lead in understanding business requirements and broader commercial objectives and ensure technology solutions meet dynamic business needs. Moreover, you have a fair understanding of some of the new technology trends in the industry, to name but a few from the last year at Centrica: AWS, AI, MongoDB. All supporting our Cloud first agenda.

About the team

As an ETRM Business Analyst, you will be a part of a skilled Agile (Scrum or Kanban) team in our development department, which consists of more than 70 colleagues involved in different projects. You can look forward to a diverse role where you will work with development teams and, working with business stakeholders, shape the product.

About the role

We are looking for an ETRM Business Analyst to join us in our growth journey to build a an ETRM platform to end-to-end manage Power & Gas Trading, LNG physical transactions and renewable transactions which are complex in nature, covering but not limited to PPAs, Corporate PPAs, Gas Purchase agreements.

The role will be based out of our office in Aalborg or Copenhagen and some travel between locations is expected

About you

You will be hired based on your skills as well as your desires.

We expect that you:

• Have a relevant education with experience of commodities industry and markets and products, primarlly around Power, Gas and Emissions
• Have a passion for delivering high quality product
• Like close collaboration with internal customers on all phases of a products life cycle
• Show leadership to handle business conflicts and navigate from idea to requirement to product journey
• Like to explore new technologies and continuously expand you and your team’s skill set

You should be business oriented and enjoy a busy and varied day. We regularly test new ideas and methods no one has tried before – so it is important that you are self-driven and show initiative.

Nice to have:

• ETRM Experience
• Worked in broker dealer quote platform
• Worked in providing trading analytics software for price forecasting and commodities demand projection
• Good understanding of Linear Programming and Optimization
