As our new Manager for Indirect Procurement EMA in Novonesis, you will be part of the Global Indirect Procurement organization and work close with regional peers delivering on the global strategic aspirations set forward for the Global Procurement organization.

Your primary location will be in the greater Copenhagen area, specifically Hørsholm, with close interaction with stakeholders at our other sites e.g. in Lyngby and Bagsværd (Copenhagen).
In This Role, You Will Make An Impact By
Main responsibility is leadership and people management. Being responsible for management, coaching and development of Senior buyers and Category managers in the EMA region in close collaboration and alignment with the Global Head of Indirect Procurement and the Global Category Leads being responsible and accountable for category strategy execution and project portfolio management having the overall resource view.
Leadership: Follow the principles of the Novonesis leadership aspiration, living it – and ensure our cultural commitments is translated into every-day work life in Novonesis. You are responsible for the day-to-day dialogue and sparring on procurement, motivation and satisfaction, and development of employees. Together with driving competence development initiatives for the team in alignment with the Global Procurement Strategy and the leadership team (PLT).
Procurement: Proactive of the continued development and execution of the Global Procurement Strategy, Indirect Procurement aspirations and related “Must Win Battles” (MWB). As part of your role, you will drive various strategic initiatives (regionally/ global if appointed lead) and be responsible for the implementation of initiatives into the region ensuring the transformation sustain or continuously delivers value.
Business Partner: Secure strong focus on stakeholder engagement throughout all functions in Novonesis, and at all management levels across the region, but also towards global stakeholders as relevant, for strategic alignment and for further development of cross functional collaboration and processes. Be a “business partner”, the “glue” between our stakeholders and suppliers. Act and work to align procurement activities with Novonesis overall business strategy in mind. Understand, translate and collaboratively challenge business’s needs, priorities, innovation aligning them to procurement processes, business objectives and bottom line.
One-team: Together with regional peers and the Global Category Leads participate in planning and execution of strategic procurement projects (Global Project Pipeline) locally and in collaboration with the global organization and across categories supporting a professionalized approach to Strategic Sourcing and Category Management globally.
Tech and tools: Responsible for input to and proactiveness in terms of ensuring “nimbleness” in our processes and working efficiently together with the Procurement Excellence team ensuring continued optimization of Indirect Procurement maturity in EMA, in tools & processes, e.g. COUPA, Fairmarkit, BuyHowTo.
Value creator and compliance defender: Bring holistic procurement expertise, knowledge, and benchmarks from peers, suppliers into play in collaboration with colleagues across Novonesis. Be on top of and know and implement the latest procurement thinking together with supporting on that policies, procedures and “next steps” are in place delivering on our sustainability aspirations for the company and the world together with our suppliers.
Performance: Report and drive improvements related to our processes: You will report and follow up on the results and performance of the teams implemented projects to ensure that the benefits are realized. Additionally, you will e.g. participate in business review meetings with key suppliers to identify potential future improvement initiatives.

You know how to collaborate as “one-team” within a dynamic matrix organization. You communicate effortlessly at all levels of an organization and enjoy working strategically with procurement with your team, your peers, stakeholders, and our suppliers. Moreover:
- Holds a relevant master’s degree in business administration, engineering, supply chain, economics, or a related field related to managing professional services or IT services (and/or business or sales experience) together with leadership capabilities and experiences.
- Be a team player with a strong drive to achieve excellent results and foster a positive atmosphere with colleagues.
- Have a keen eagerness to further explore technological opportunities, such as AI and robotics.
- Be committed to sustainability and eager to contribute to making a positive impact on the world.
- Have strong interpersonal skills, and experience with stakeholder management across functions and cultures.
- Desire and responsibility to make things happen
- Display structured, self-motivated behavior and the willingness to take the lead.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, and be unafraid to facilitate meetings, make recommendations, and present to senior management.
On a personal level, you should be a team player who thrives in diverse, international professional groups and has a keen eye for detail, along with an interest in process improvement and simplification. Additionally, we expect you to be curious and solution-oriented, with an explorative and solution-focused mindset.
