Responsibilities include:
- Strategic Planning: Set and lead the strategic direction of the team of data centre & Network category managers to negotiate new agreements, manage renewals, amendments and terminations inline with Maersk policies and procedures
- Team Leadership: responsible for creating a conducive working environment for colleagues to grow and thrive, developing a high performing and engaged team
- Financial Management: Ensure that negotiated global discounts are applied and tracked. Close relationship with FBPs and Platform Leads to monitor spend against budget and align to annual cost optimization program
- Stakeholder Management – fostering good strategic partnerships with and between the Technology Organization, APMT team and Technology Procurement
- Market Research: Conduct regular market and supplier research, including identification and engagement of new suppliers to support multiple sectors in the hardware category
- Risk Management: Manage supply chain risk and develop contingency plans
- Governance: Drive the renegotiation of Agreements with vendors not on Maersk templates and remove reliance on Resellers
- Vendor Management: Conduct periodic reviews with vendors and stakeholders
- Transition: Create and execute a transition plan with Technology for end user site
Who are we looking for?
Technical skills:
- You will have a successful IT category management background specially in Data Centre Networks & Connectivity
- You will have developed global category strategies and implemented in data centre and networks domain
- You also have excellent stakeholder management skills
- Ideally you have an Engineering or relevant degree
Personal/ soft skills:
- Proven people management skills and has worked as a mentor
- Advanced stakeholder management skills
- Dynamic leadership with good networking skills
