We are seeking a talented Web Application Security Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our web applications. You will work with scrum teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and promote best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Assessments: Conduct regular security audits and facilitate penetration testing of web applications to identify vulnerabilities.
• Vulnerability Management: Analyze, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities in collaboration with scrum teams.
• Secure Development Lifecycle: Integrate security practices into the software development process, including code reviews and threat modeling.
• Incident Response: Participate in the investigation and resolution of security incidents and breaches.
• Policy Development: Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines for web applications.
• Education & Training: Provide guidance and training to developers and staff on secure coding and security best practices.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to proactively protect our applications.
• Community Facilitation: Keep scrum teams engaged in security through the security champions in each team.

Your Profile
We are looking for you who recognize yourself in the following:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in web application security or a similar role.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with OWASP Top Ten vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with secure coding practices and code review processes.
  • Proficient with vulnerability management tools.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH or similar, are a plus.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
