Folkekirkens Nødhjælp
Are you passionate about creating impactful partnerships and driving sustainable development?
The Private Sector & Market Systems Team (PS&MS) at DanChurchAid (DCA) is looking for a dynamic and proactive intern for Spring 2025. This is your chance to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, including private sector entities, public sector actors, research institutions, and financial organizations, to co-create and implement innovative models that deliver both development and humanitarian outcomes.
Our goal is to explore, co-create, and implement collaborative models that deliver both development and humanitarian outcomes. We ensure the long-term sustainability of our projects by strengthening the capacity of our organization and partners. This is achieved through integrating market system development, responsible business conduct, and resilience to climate, environmental, and economic challenges. We stay informed about relevant trends and provide strategic inputs for the development of DCA strategies. By promoting knowledge sharing and gathering insights from both internal and external stakeholders, we pave the way for replicating and scaling successful models. Additionally, we continue our advocacy efforts to hold the private sector accountable and drive meaningful action.
The ideal candidate
- Must be enrolled in a relevant university programme (end of bachelor or master’s level), where an unpaid internship can qualify for ECTS points.
- Is interested in multi-stakeholder models and market-based approaches within the development/humanitarian nexus.
- Has experience or interest in working as part of an international humanitarian and development organisation.
- Possesses excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Is a self-motivated, curious, and enthusiastic team player.
Key Tasks
- Research, analysis, and support on human rights and environmental due diligence.
- Support project development and fundraising opportunities.
- Facilitate awareness-raising and advocacy engagement, e.g., webinars, events, publications, and case development.
- Participate in our strategic work on engaging young people to promote green livelihood and employment opportunities in our focal countries.
The internship is unpaid, 30-35 hours per week, and is expected to commence in February 2025. We offer good lunch arrangements, work station, computer, and flexibility in relation to any university requirements. The workplace is at Meldahlsgade 3, 3. 1613 Copenhagen V, with the option to work from home on selected days.
