People Partner

Wunderman

Nov 15, 2024

Are you a proactive HR professional with a keen eye for aligning people operations with long-term business goals? Would you like to make a meaningful impact on our growing People function and become part of a leading global marketing agency? If so, you might be the People Partner we are looking for!

What will your day look like?
As an operational People Partner, your days will be dynamic and varied. You will collaborate with managers and employees across the organization, serving as a subject matter expert in key areas of People Operations. A core focus area will be employee mobility and relocation of new hires and existing staff. You’ll also be an expert in our benefits offerings and ensuring alignment of our benefits strategy across locations. Additionally, you will also support various employee-related cases.
You will work both hands-on with more routine-based tasks, but also at a strategic level, facing the business and being a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the organization. As we continue to build out the People function at VML MAP, you’ll have ample opportunities to innovate, challenge yourself, and develop your skills.

More specifically, your tasks include:

  • Coordinating the full relocation and mobility function within the People space in line with local visa and legal requirements.
  • Advising prospective hires, employees and our talent acquisition team on relocations, VISAs and work permits. Including costs, timelines, family situations and policies.
  • Partnering with managers to provide strategic People support, ensuring fair and consistent evaluations and feedback. This includes supporting employee cases, talent retention, performance appraisals, improvement plans, etc.
  • Taking ownership of local benefit efforts – e.g., our pension and healthcare provider.
  • Keeping our benefit policies up to date and mapping out inconsistencies to improve and align our offerings across locations.
  • Ensuring compliance with various employment related legislations and policies.
  • Working hands-on with people tasks and operations in a high-performance culture.
  • Taking on ad hoc people tasks relating to the wider employee experience and culture we would like to foster within VML MAP.

Who are you going to work with?
You will join a close-knit People Operations team of four people all based in our headquarters in Copenhagen. You will also become part of the wider People Experience capability within VML MAP, meaning you will collaborate with our Talent Acquisition team, Learning & Development team, as well as our People team in North America. We all partner with and service the entire organization across our 13 locations, so you’ll be collaborating with managers and colleagues across the global VML MAP organization. We are proud of our international and dynamic environment, where effective work and strong deliveries go hand in hand with helpfulness and good spirits.

What do you bring to the table?
As a People Partner supporting our global workforce, you are empathetic, culturally aware and have strong relationship-building skills that enable you to collaborate with colleagues across the business. You are proactive in addressing unique challenges and offering tailored guidance, while keeping the business needs and objectives in mind. You possess strong problem-solving skills, and your interest in deep diving into various HR topics enables you to find strong solutions to complex issues, making you a valuable advisor to stakeholders. An ability to prioritize and navigate between urgent issues and long-term projects will also be essential for this role.

In addition, you have:

  • A degree in HR or related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within a People function; experience with mobility and relocation cases will be advantageous.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong understanding of various People principles, practices and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A strong sense of fairness, empathy and accountability.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent Danish language skills will be advantageous.

Join us at VML MAP and contribute to shaping the future of our People function while advancing your career in a vibrant, global setting!
