Team and Role
As the new Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Product Safety and Compliance Engineering team and oversee the safety and regulatory compliance of our products from design through deployment, ensuring they meet rigorous industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience, a robust and resilient mindset, and a natural sense of integrity. In this role, your meticulous, well-structured approach to problem-solving will help drive successful outcomes across our projects.
Key responsibilities
The Key Responsibilities include:
- Safety & Compliance Management: Lead safety evaluations and ensure all products comply with relevant industry standards, military specifications, and international regulations
- Methodical Risk Analysis: Conduct detailed, systematic risk assessments (FMEA, FTA, etc.) and hazard analyses to identify and mitigate potential safety risks at each project stage
- Documentation & Reporting: Produce and maintain comprehensive compliance documentation, safety analysis reports, and certification materials that meet regulatory expectations
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing—to embed safety and compliance into every phase of the product lifecycle
- Regulatory Monitoring: Stay updated on industry regulations and safety standards to anticipate and address changes that may impact compliance. Participate in cooperation with customers, regulators, and industry
Qualifications
Key qualifications include:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in product safety and compliance within naval, aerospace, or similar high-stakes industries (e.g., medical, chemical)
- Technical Competence: Deep knowledge of safety analysis methods and regulatory standards specific to the naval and aerospace sectors or similar high-stakes industries
- Structured Approach: Demonstrated ability to apply a structured, methodical approach to safety and compliance processes
- Mindset & Integrity: Resilient, with a robust approach to ensuring safety in every detail, backed by natural science and ethical decision-making
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong written communication skills in English are essential, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail in both analysis and documentation, ensuring accuracy and reliability
Required education/degree:
- A Bachelor’s degree within Engineering - Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field of study. Extensive knowledge within areas related to safety and compliance or relevant standards (e.g., MIL-STD, DO-160) are a strong advantage.
