We are looking for a Manager for our Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance team. As the manager of the team you will play a crucial role in improving equipment reliability, our service mindset, our stakeholder interaction and developing your teams competencies.
We have recently started manufacturing in our new production facility and accordingly we now have two large manufacturing facilities at the site and your team’s support is a very important part of successful operation of both facilities.
The department
The Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance team is part of the Plant Engineering area responsible for maintenance and reliable operation of our manufacturing equipment, operation and maintenance of all HVAC and utility systems, and calibration across our current facility. We have today more than 40 employees in the area with technicians, technical engineers, compliance engineers and managers.
The position
You and your team will ensure reliable performance of the Manufacturing Equipment in our two facilities via proactive maintenance including life cycle management based on maintenance & repair history for the equipment, input from the manufacturing users and input from the equipment vendors/service partners.
The team consist today of 8 people (technicians, technical engineers and the manager).
Your responsibilities covers:
- Reliable performance of manufacturing equipment
- Timely execution of planned maintenance activities
- Fast follow-up on break down situations
- Competencies of your team to cover the needed responsibilities
- Contribute with trained employees for our 24/7 on call support (people from other teams also participate)
- Continuous improvement of our manufacturing equipment maintenance programs
- Maintenance life cycle management for manufacturing equipment
- Manage board meetings that support transparency on the task in the team
- Partnering with manufacturing teams together with your people to have a common understanding of the technical activities that impact operation of the manufacturing equipment
- You will ensure both performance and well-being of your team through your management style and general involvement and dialogue.
A significant part of our maintenance and repair activities are done by external companies coordinated by your team meaning that you will also will be involved in this external interface.
You work closely with stakeholders in the manufacturing area together with your people to have a common understanding of the technical activities that impact operation of the manufacturing equipment. Other key stakeholders are QA, procurement, and other teams in Engineering.

You have a strong preference for being logical, honest and solution oriented and have a strong sense of humour and ability to make things work out.
Relevant engineering degree or similar technical background from the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry with GMP experience.
Prior management experience from a technical area with experience from operation and maintenance of production systems and/or utility systems including changes to such systems.
Knowledge about automation and control systems.
You understand how to create relations across multiple functions and with external stakeholders to support a good and effective cooperation.
You operate with a strong sense of urgency and a positive can do attitude. You thrive in an environment with focus on operation.
You work systematically and are at the same time robust and capable of handling a dynamic environment without losing overview and motivation.
Good communication skills – including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in written and spoken English and Danish is preferred.
