Job Description
For Danfoss Power Solutions – Controls division, we are looking for a Category Manager for supplier development and performance management of a supplier portfolio within EMS and Electrical parts. You will become part of a dedicated and competent Procurement team, where you will refer directly to the Director of Procurement in Connect & Control Solutions (CCS). The Position is available in Nordborg (DK) – preferrable onsite but possibility to partly work off-site. There is no relocation cover for this position.
Job Responsibilities
As Category Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and robust category management, both in the short- and long-term, for production supplies and services. You will be working on different categories and be collaborating closely with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally within our global sourcing organization, as well as externally with suppliers.
You will be working across several global functions and serve as the link between the business and external suppliers. Your key responsibilities will be:
- Develop and implement supplier & (sub)category strategies.
- Lead and coordinate supplier & (sub)category strategy activities in the category team.
- Active research trends within (sub)category and technology incl. how other industries impact the (sub)category e.g. supply, pricing, investments etc.
- Understand the market and how this impacts the (sub)category. Proactively understand key stakeholder business trends and requirements and inform proactively about relevant trends.
- Lead strong supplier relationships to drive cost reductions execution, capacity management discussions, delivery accountability.
Background & Skills
To be considered for this position, we imagine you:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain, business, engineering, or any other relevant field.
- Have at least 5 years of experience within above listed fields
- Possess experience with Strategic Procurement within industry.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Danish will be a plus.
Short Description
As a person, you have a strategic mindset and possess a good business acumen as well as strong analytical skills. You have the ability to deal with complexity, and able to find compromises between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests. You have strong stakeholder management skills, an initiative-taking attitude, and self-driven approach that make you a great contributor to any team.
Last but not least, you are experienced in interacting with senior management stakeholders and are an excellent team player, understanding that effective communication skills are essential for achieving success.
As you will be part of a truly global company you must expect a certain number of travel days, 10-20% domestic and/or international.
