Your role
This role is about more than maintenance it’s about leading and mentoring a skilled team, driving engagement, and aligning people and processes with our strategic goals. As the Technical Manager, you’ll foster a collaborative and supportive environment where high standards and open communication drive results. You’ll guide, develop, and empower a talented maintenance team to achieve operational excellence and strategic impact. You’ll be instrumental in implementing our strategy by setting clear goals, monitoring progress, and fostering a proactive culture of reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, mentor, and develop dedicated maintenance team, emphasizing growth, skill development, and cross-functional collaboration
• Implement strategic maintenance practices (e.g., RCM, CMMS, TPM, Lean) that support our broader business objectives
• Work closely with senior management to align departmental goals with Flügger’s strategic priorities, supporting our long-term vision for sustainability and growth
• Cultivate a strong safety culture by training and guiding the team on adherence to safety and quality standards, including ISO 14001 and ISO 9001
• Lead strategic initiatives to drive continuous improvement through Lean methodologies, Kaizen events, and equipment optimization
• Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure team goals are met and support company-wide objectives
• Oversee budget management, track expenses, and manage the maintenance resource plan to optimize team productivity
• Participate in cross-departmental projects, representing the Maintenance team’s goals and ensuring alignment with broader operational strategies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5-10 years of management experience, with a proven record in team leadership, talent development, and strategic alignment
• Strong understanding of people management principles and demonstrated success in developing employees within your area of responsibility
• Expertise in preventive maintenance, reliability-centered maintenance, and Lean principles
• Familiarity with ERP, CMMS, and SCADA systems, and the ability to analyze and act on KPIs effectively
• Strong communication skills with a focus on fostering collaboration and high team engagement
• Strategic and performance-driven, with the ability to think holistically and lead with impact.
