We are looking for an experienced colleague to join our HW team, taking responsibility for the development of our power electronics products.
About the Position
This key role is available as our current colleague is retiring. We are therefore looking for an experienced Senior Power Electronics Engineer who will help set the direction within power electronics. You will play a central role in the initiation of new product projects and provide technical support, ensuring strong product synergy by reusing HW across product groups. As a competence center for power electronics, we develop complete solutions for compressor inverters, and you will be an essential part of this process.
Responsibilities and Tasks
In this role, your focus will be on improving and optimizing our products in power electronics. Your main tasks will include:
- Leading the development of next-generation inverters in close collaboration with HW, SW, and mechanical teams
- Leveraging synergies by reusing HW across product portfolios
- Ensuring high reliability through well-structured design processes
- Participating in requirement specification, cost estimation and scheduling of new products
- Acting as our technical specialist in customer meetings and supplier visits
- Evaluating and implementing new technologies and components within power electronics
- Facilitating workshops and contributing to ongoing process improvements
- Engaging in various design and support tasks
Your Background and Qualifications
We envision that you have a strong background as a power electronics engineer combined with architectural skills. Additionally, we would like you to have:
- At least 10 years of experience in power electronics development, preferably with inverters
- A relevant academic degree in electronics (e.g., bachelor’s, engineering degree, or master’s degree) or significant practical experience as a technician
- Insight into mechanics (mechatronics)
- A structured approach and ability to maintain the overview
- A good understanding of practical execution and task completion
- A creative and solution-focused mindset
- A desire for ongoing skill development and participating in relevant conferences
- An outgoing personality with strong networking skills
