This is the role
Reporting directly to the Global PR Director and sitting with the local team in Madrid, the Podimo Spain PR Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing public relations strategies tailored to Spanish market dynamics. This role is crucial in enhancing brand visibility, reputation, and engagement for Podimo in Spain, while aligning with overall global PR objectives.

Your main responsibilities in this role:
Local Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with the Podimo ES team and the Global PR Director to develop and implement a comprehensive local PR strategy aligned with global goals.
  • Identify key local media, influencers, and stakeholders to build and nurture relationships for effective communication.

Media Relations:

  • Draft compelling press releases, pitches, and media kits tailored to the local market, ensuring consistency with global messaging.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with local media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage.

Creator Relations:

  • Develop creative and effective strategies for new show launches and reactivation of content, working closely with creators and teams on messaging and roll out.
  • Work with creators for ongoing PR opportunities throughout the duration of their shows in collaboration with marketing managers.

Local Events and Collaboration with Marketing:

  • Support Marketing on team local events, PR roundtables, etc. that enhance brand visibility and resonate with the Spanish audience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of PR initiatives with marketing and business objectives.

Corporate Communications:

  • Corporate communications experience to drive strategic messaging, manage media relations, and enhance our brand’s reputation through effective internal and external communications.

Crisis Management:

  • Act as the local point of contact for crisis communication, working closely with the Global PR Director and internal stakeholders to manage and mitigate potential reputational risks.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Provide regular reports on PR activities, coverage, and key performance indicators.
  • Analyze and interpret data to measure the effectiveness of local PR campaigns and recommend adjustments for continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • +7 years of proven PR experience in the Spanish market. Previous experience in TV, radio, streaming platforms would be a plus.
  • Strong understanding of the Spanish media landscape, cultural nuances, and consumer behavior.
  • Strong links with lifestyle, tech and corporate media journalists.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in Spanish and English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with global and local teams.

Naturally, being passionate and knowledgeable about podcasts, audio content, media, and entertainment is a big plus!
