As student assistant in our Global Sales & Service Division you will become a part of a dynamic team, based at our headquarter (HQ) in Esbjerg, Denmark. As student assistant you support the regional sales force and sales-related HQ departments in the development of strategic and tactical business intelligence solutions, driving the decision-making through data driven business insights.
Student assistants are an important part of the VIKING organization. Many of our students also complete their internships with us and write their thesis about real life projects and challenges in VIKING.

Your primary responsibilities and tasks include data-driven and analytic tasks as well as development projects. You will also be working with:
- Support the definition, execution and monitoring of sales strategic initiatives by providing key business analyses
- Support Regional Sales and HQ Management by converting data into business driven insight developed and presented in graphical and interactive solutions
- Communicate with various internal and external stakeholders to continuously develop and optimize business intelligence reporting that enable data-driven decisions
- Identifying and capturing new methods for utilizing data to capitalize on high business market opportunities
You’ll work approximately 15-20 hours per week with flexibility around exam periods.
Your profile
The ideal candidate for the position is:
- Currently studying a bachelor or master’s degree within the fields of business administration or business- and market development and have at least 1,5 years left of your studies
- Are motivated and interested in learning about converting data into comprehensive, appealing and interactive visual solutions using Microsoft Power BI
- Relevant experience with Microsoft Excel is considered an advantage
- Structured, detail oriented and responsible – taking ownership of tasks and projects while seeing them through from start to finish with a “can do” attitude
- See yourself as a true team player with a positive and social personality
Since our corporate language is English, you have great English skills – both written and orally.
