Manager of Financial Controlling Nordic

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for leading a team with four highly engaged and skilled colleagues based at our offices in Denmark and Poland . The team is responsible for tasks in the Nordic area, covering Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
Welcome to Financial Accounting and Controlling
You’ll be part of Financial Controlling where you, together with your colleagues, will ensure compliance and deliver high-quality and timely financial reporting to our internal and external stakeholders. You’ll also work closely with our auditors to ensure that documentation is delivered according to an agreed quality and in a timely manner. As a team, we support each other in solving complex accounting tasks. We make use of the individual skillsets in the team and ensure that all team members have challenging tasks.
You’ll play an important role in:
- creating a workplace that motivates, develops, and drives your team members, empowers them in their daily decision-making, and provides challenges and guidance for their continuous development
- managing the financial controlling at entity level for all entities in the Nordic area, ensuring timely deliveries with agreed quality
- creating good and close collaboration with the service delivery teams responsible for the consolidated group numbers and our accounting team
- facilitating efficient and compliant processes within financial reporting compliance, complex accounting areas, financial controlling, and audits.
To succeed in the role, you:
- find motivation in creating a work culture characterised by trust and openness, giving constructive feedback, delegating tasks to develop colleagues, and proactively seeking development opportunities for your team members
- have experience as a manager, preferably from leading a finance team in a large company
- have experience working with and controlling complex accounting areas (IFRS and DK GAAP) and with process improvements
- have experience with stakeholder management, understanding the mid/long-term needs of our customers, and translate these into tangible actions and results
- have a proven track record of delivering a range of financial services and products to key stakeholders with strict deadlines
- have experience working in a public accounting firm or an accounting department in an international company, and speak and write English fluently at an academic level.
