The position
We are expanding our current portfolio to include more products, so we are looking for new colleagues to help with this exciting task. In this position, you will get a unique chance to work at the crossroad between development and GMP manufacturing in the Manufacturing Support organisation in PS API MSAT (Product Supply, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, Manufacturing Science and Technology).
As a cleaning scientist in our team, you will have two primary areas of responsibility: supporting projects on cleaning strategy and supporting the daily API production in matters regarding cleaning.
Your field of work will be:
• Process optimization.
• Support to production facilities including problem-solving and giving inputs to deviations.
• Planning, execution and evaluation of laboratory cleaning experiments.
• Preparation of protocols and reports and maintenance of development documentation.
• Supporting audits and regulatory inspections.
You will work with experienced colleagues across the organisation, ensuring implementation of new cleaning processes, as well as ongoing support of existing facilities and products. You will experience an enthusiastic working climate focused on quality, teamwork, and delivery.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we imagine that you:
• Have solid theoretical background and an academic degree (Cand. Pharm, Cand. Scient, Chemical Engineer, Chemistry or equivalent).
• Possess some years of practical experience from industry.
• It is an advantage to have knowledge within the field of cleaning from pharmaceutical production.
• Preferably, you have experience or knowledge within cleaning validation, cleaning experiments and/or TOC methods.
• Are a proficient user of English.
Process equipment knowledge and attention to details when working with data can also be an advantage.
As a person, you work independently, can handle a complex workday, and enjoy a close collaboration with your team and department. You are responsible, flexible, and have the courage and drive to engage in new assignments and stick to them until the job is finished.
It is important that you are a good communicator, since you are in daily contact with other scientists, production employees, project managers, analytical laboratories, and others, both in Denmark and the US. A positive mindset will suit our working environment where a good laugh is appreciated even when things are getting hectic.
About the department
In the Product Supply (PS) section of Novo Nordisk we manufacture the pharmaceutical backbone of our many quality APIs. PS API MSAT Manufacturing Support and we have tree teams responsible for the timely support of the many processes that create our APIs.
You can look forward to becoming part of a dynamic, well-functioning, and cross functional team. As part of this team, we have a well-established cleaning group of 6 scientists. We thrive on professional challenges and work independently with great individual responsibility and a high level of commitment. We collaborate with different stakeholders in the organization including production departments, research, regulatory affairs, and QA. We therefore enjoy being part of a wide range of activities and projects within the organization.
Our department is in Bagsværd, which will be your primary location. But we also have offices in Gentofte and Kalundborg.
