Are you an experienced, dynamic and result oriented waste and recycling expert with a strong passion for driving environmental change in our ReMed take-back programme ? Would you like to live out your passion for sustainability in a role where you will truly make an impact by leading the way within environment change and being part of a programme where innovation and leadership are key drivers? Then you may very well be our new ReMed Recycling Project Manager in Corporate Environmental Strategy department, based in Bagsvaerd Copenhagen.

The position
Your main responsibility will be to support and manage existing recycling solutions and contribute to the development of robust recycling solutions, which supports our take-back initiatives in Denmark, UK, France, Brazil, Japan, Italy, Germany and France. You will collaborate closely with our global recycling lead and be part of our Circular Economy team.

  • Use your strong project management skills to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in Novo Nordisk.
  • Be part of the ReMed global programme, where you will take responsibility for developing use cases for recycled plastic, ensuring that we optimise and have the right supporting materials for the take-back systems in the markets and develop new recycling solutions.
  • You will be monitoring the regulatory landscape and make sure we bring forward areas for improvement, and you will also be handling contact to affiliates and authorities on transport of waste and notifications across borders.
  • You will also act as support to the Global Recycling Lead.

You will work closely with colleagues in our Corporate Environmental Strategy department, co-ordinate interactions with the ReMed team, and you will have multiple touchpoints and stakeholders in the affiliates.

Qualifications
To succeed in the role:

  • You have relevant experience in environmental management or -policy with knowledge of waste and recycling.
  • You hold a master’s degree in environmental engineering, science, management, or another relevant field, and have strong insights to environmental sustainability.
  • You are a dedicated and structured project manager with strong collaboration skills and are able to deliver high quality results.
  • You have great English language skills, verbally as well as written.
  • It is an advantage if you have knowledge of waste policy and regulations.

As a person, you have a naturally high engagement and a willingness to make a difference which you use to create impact around you. Using your collaboration skills, you can work cross-functional to understand the business needs and find the right solution. Lastly, you are passionate about driving the environmental agenda by yourself as well as through collaboration.

About the Department
The world is changing and so are we. With a significant growth outlook for Novo Nordisk, it is of very high importance that the right environmental, nature and biodiversity solutions are created to drive the change towards zero environmental impact. Corporate Environmental Strategy is a diverse team responsible for ‘Circular for Zero’, where we strive for zero environmental impact. Our responsibility includes a variety of environmental initiatives across the organisation and with external stakeholders. We develop and deploy environmental strategies, run cross- organisational projects and drive environmental intelligence leading to a reduced Novo Nordisk environmental footprint. The department consist of 25 dedicated project managers and specialists, all highly engaged in driving the environmental strategy of Novo Nordisk.
