The position
As a Scientist in the Mammalian Cell Bank, you will take ownership of diverse tasks related to the production and lifecycle management of our cell banks. You will gradually be introduced to different tasks and processes building on complexity as you gain experience in the team.
In this position you will work 50% hands-on in the laboratory with producing Cell banks under GMP requirements and 50% with a broad spectrum of tasks within the cell banking process in collaboration with other scientists and laboratory technicians in the team.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Playing an active role in preparing for GMP production, storage, and shipping of cell banks, as well as maintaining cell banks according to GMP.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and compliance.
- Ensuring documentation aligns with internal and external quality requirements for the production, storage, and characterization of cell banks.
- Handling change requests and deviations, employing systematic problem-solving methods.
- Participating in audits, inspections, and addressing inquiries from Health Authorities and registrations for different markets.
- Independently planning, executing, and reporting assignments, collaborating effectively with team colleagues.
- Adhering to LEAN and GMP principles in daily work.
Qualifications
You are an ideal candidate if you:
- Hold a master’s degree preferably complemented by some experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Have GMP knowledge.
- Possess expertise of cellular biology and culturing of mammalian cells.
- Exhibit a strong quality mindset and thrive in a multi-tasking environment.
- Demonstrate an analytical mindset and effective problem-solving skills.
- Are capable of driving projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Are proficient in writing high-quality documents and comfortable with presenting our work to national and international inspectors.
- Enjoy working in a diverse environment with frequent ad hoc assignments.

About the department
CMC (Chemistry Manufacturing and Controls) Development makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop, manufacture, and distribute drug candidates for non-clinical and clinical trials. We are around 50 people organized in four teams within the department. We produce cell banks to clinical trials and marked product and develop bioanalyses for analysis of cell banks, in-process samples, drug substance, and drug product samples for the entire Novo Nordisk project portfolio from early research to clinical trials all over the world.
