The Position
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring corporate tax compliance, tax forecasting and accounting for income taxes while, at the same time, actively contributing to process improvements e.g. via utilising digital solutions.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Preparation of tax information for the financial tax reporting and forecasting in collaboration with global finance and tax organisation
  • Preparation of corporate income tax returns for Danish entities within the group
  • Playing a key role in ensuring BEPS Pillar 2 compliance
  • Monitoring new tax legislation incl. analysis of impact and implementation of compliance solutions
  • Participate in managing audits and requests from the Danish Tax authorities
  • Supporting the business by delivering best-in-class tax advice in relation to projects and ongoing business matters together with other departments in Corporate Tax and the wider finance organisation.

You will work out of headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark with frequent interaction with the global Novo Nordisk organisation.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you hold a relevant master’s degree within accounting, auditing or tax with excellent results.

Other success criteria are:

  • At least 7-10 years of professional experience from a similar position, e.g. from an accounting/tax consultancy firm, an in-house finance function with focus on tax issues or the tax authorities
  • Solid tax, accounting and analytical skills
  • Extensive experience with tax return calculations, tax accounting and tax reporting in annual reports (incl. deferred tax)
  • Fluency in English and Danish, both written and spoken

On a personal level, you have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders, work in a structured manner, respect deadlines, and deliver complex messages simply. Furthermore, you are a team player with a high level of engagement and drive.

About the department
In Novo Nordisk’s Corporate Tax department, we are 20 dedicated employees working in teams within corporate income taxes, transfer pricing and indirect taxes. You will be part of the Corporate Income Tax Services team which handles the corporate income taxes. You will refer to the Senior Director of the team.

Further to this, you will be part of the Global Tax organisation encompassing around 70 employees worldwide.
