Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a scientist that will join us in Power-to-X in the development and the post-operation analysis of our electrolysis stack. By using the relevant characterization techniques (XRD, SEM, TEM, Raman, ICP, just to mention a few), we want to assess the technical impact of our solutions and highlight the areas where we could further improve our technology by enhancing performance and lifetime.

As a member of our team, you will be part of an international community of talented scientists and engineers working on our cutting-edge technology.

Here are some of the things you can expect to be doing:

  • Perform post-mortem analysis and do a technical assessment on the tested solutions.
  • Drive further investigation by requesting the relevant characterizations and interpreting the results.
  • Develop analysis tool (for example using coding, image learning or other solutions) to compare large datasets and highlight correlations between degradation phenomena and analyses.

What you’ll bring
We are looking for a scientist driven by curiosity and with an analytical mindset, who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and presenting the results. To succeed in that you will need to be data driven and detail oriented, but still able to review the results with the big picture in mind. Thinking out of the box and curiosity are two of the skills that will help you excelling in this role.

Here´s what our ideal candidate will bring:

  • A let´s solve attitude and enthusiasm for venturing into unknown areas during the analysis.
  • Good presentation and data visualization skills as you are expected to share and discuss results with the rest of the team.
  • A foundation of statistics and ability to code (for example with Python, image learning) to develop tools for the analysis of large amounts of data.
  • Knowledge of characterization techniques (XRD, SEM, TEM, Raman, ICP) and ability to interpret the results in relation to the tests performed.
  • PhD or master´s degree in material science/engineering, ceramic materials, chemistry, physics.
  • Fluency in English (both spoken and written).
  • Experience with SOFC/SOEC technology and relative materials is not necessary, but an advantage.
