As part of our Model Innovation Technology organization, you will work as a Senior Fullstack Engineer (main focus on Backend) on the LEGO Digital Element Design team. You will be working at the very heart of the LEGO Group, and very close to your user: our LEGO designers.
The LEGO Digital Element Design provides a set of digital tools for the development and governance of decorated 3D elements. The output of your work will be used by every single LEGO Experience, going through manufacturing, digital art for branding, games and more!
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement high performance solutions on a cloud platform, with a strong focus on quality, security and scalability
- Adopt an API-First approach, to allow other teams across the LEGO Group to access the LEGO Brick database
- Work agile in a multi-functional product team, collaborating across a full value-chain of software products
- Advocate ways of working, Definition of Done and good practices in documentation, including decision records and technical designs
- Participate in code reviews with other engineers

This is a phenomenal opportunity to join a very dynamic team, within a core area for the LEGO Group design process. Our current tech stack is based on AWS, Python, TypeScript and React. But this is not where we started, and it is not where we will stop. We expect you to explore emerging technologies and methods, sharing opportunities that can help us improve and move our solutions to the next level.
Do you have what it takes?
- Expertise designing and implementing REST API
- Demonstrated experience in developing cloud-native solutions on major public cloud platform, preferably on AWS
- Solid understanding of common development best practices (e.g. CI/CD, GitHub, Agile)
- Experience in designing and creating systems and tools, solving both business and technical challenges
- Capable of understanding a complex business domain and designing for the big picture
Nice to have
In addition, we hope that you also have:
- Experience with cloud infrastructure automation using Terraform
- Working experience of modern front-end frameworks and technologies
- Familiar with Domain Driven Design and passion in resolving domain problems
- • A natural desire to keep improving as an individual and as a team member
