We are now looking for Engineering Manager, Polymer to our Material Engineering department with responsibilities for all non-metallic products used for flexible pipes.
The Material Engineering department acts as a global competence and knowledge center for the organization supporting primary our Danish and Brazilian manufacturing facilities. Our product operate at extreme conditions and needs optimal technical solutions to obtain required performance. We are currently 50+ engineers and technicians with broad competences within steel, polymers and composite materials. The technical level and requirements are thus high, and we are proud of our professional approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of skilled Material and Polymer Engineers in driving development projects for offshore applications.
  • Manage teams located in Brøndby, Denmark, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
  • Oversee the execution of the qualification program, including supplier screening, in-house testing, and 3rd party certification with IVA.
  • Manage the polymer portfolio to ensure solutions meet both short- and long-term business needs within a defined budget.
  • Foster collaboration across the organization, aligning efforts with key stakeholders when addressing challenges or launching new product lines.
  • Promote a growth mindset to drive process and technology improvements.
  • Provide best-in-class service to internal and external customers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven expertise in project management, preferably within technical or engineering environments.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields (Master’s preferred).
  • Familiarity with polymers, polymer-based composite materials, and/or flexible pipes is an advantage.
  • Experience in the energy sector, particularly offshore applications, is a plus.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and meeting critical deadlines.
  • Proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to inspire and lead a team effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel for business as needed.
