The role
As our new Head of Market Access & Pricing, Europe and International, you will lead and develop a pricing strategy to enhance product access across diverse markets, head a team of 3-4 market access experts, and provide functional support to 6 local market access leads in multiple regions. This role is based in Europe, with flexibility for the candidate to live and work from various European locations, including Copenhagen, Munich, Madrid, Milan, London, or Paris, while reporting to Camilla Harder Hartvig, EVP, President, Europe and International, based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the expert on pricing, maintaining a high level of expertise on critical developments in the pricing environment globally and in key markets.
- Ensure optimal access to the Endocrinology Rare Disease portfolio for the appropriate patient groups by engaging with HTA agencies, governmental groups, and the clinical community.
- Collaborate with global HEOR to create optimal local value dossiers, including budget impact models tailored to different payer environments
- Participate in program core teams and global brand teamwork, and contribute to global strategic alliances (e.g., Japan partnership).
- Develop and maintain a global pricing database.
- Provide early input into product strategy and LCM to ensure reimbursement and continued product growth.
- Build, grow and maintain a regional and country lead access forum.
- Collaborate with the VP, Global Head of Marketing, to develop value propositions, messaging, and communication resources.
- Work with Commercial Communications, Medical Affairs, and HEOR on market access publication plans.
- Coordinate globally with U.S. Head of Market Access and Global Strategy & Insights on pricing decisions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant academic degree, preferably a master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Policy, or Health Economics.
- 15-20 years of experience in Market Access, Pricing/Reimbursement, Marketing, Health Economics, or Policy.
- Strong strategic commercial insight through experience developing national market access strategies in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience working across multiple geographies and market access environments; experience beyond Europe is preferred.
- Proven track record of collaborating with customers, patient organizations, and stakeholders at all levels internally and externally to influence, define, and implement market access strategies and plans.
- Demonstrated ability to distill complex information from various resources into actionable insights.
- Experience in successfully leading cross-functional matrix teams and working with country teams.
- Proficient in English at a professional level, both written and spoken; additional language skills are an advantage.
