The Team
The CI Capital team’s key responsibility is management of CIP’s four Senior Partner’s ownership of CIP. Further, CI Capital are consolidating the increasing investments by the Senior Partners in funds managed by CIP and other investments as well as drive a continuous professionalization of other family office activities. The team currently consists of around 10-12 people.

The finance team plays a vital role in terms of supporting the administration of the Senior Partners’ entities. The team is responsible for providing accounting and insight on the financial performance for ~65 entities. You will be replacing our current Finance Controller who got a new opportunity abroad.

The Role
As the Financial Controller you will become part of a growing and dynamic team and participate in developing and professionalizing our setup in finance. The CI Capital team is consisting of 10 full-time employees plus 2 Analyst’s (Student Assistant’s).

In this role you will work closely with Finance Manager, My Tran, who joined CIP beginning of 2021 and Senior Accountant, Nina Hansen, who joined CIP in 2015. In the daily business you will report to My.

More in detail, your tasks are, but not limited to:

  • Controlling of entities (quarterly and yearly)
  • Review of audit material (annual reports, tax returns, taxable income statements etc.)
  • Preparation of consolidated financial statements and reports
  • Preparation of balance reconciliations
  • Preparation of accruals and provisions
  • Control and support on intercompany transactions
  • Review of bookkeeping and approving payments
  • Assist with collection and preparation of audit material (PBC) to the external auditors
  • Assist with other tasks including compliance towards external stakeholders, capital increases, group contributions, capital calls - just to name a few.

Your primary responsibility is to support the finance function in the CI Capital team in the above-mentioned responsibilities and areas. In order to be successful in this position, it is important that you can work effectively yourself and take responsibility for your tasks, while also being a solid team member, who contributes to the team’s dynamic in a positive matter. As we are a small team, we help each other across when it is needed.

You
We expect you to have a master’s degree (or similar) in accounting, finance or other relevant education combined with min. 5 years of relevant full-time experience from a role as Controller or similar. You might come with solid experience with Navision/Business Central. You will contribute with your expertise, highly structured work ability and efficiency to make sure that you and the finance team continue to deliver high-quality accounting and reporting within given deadlines.

Given the structure of ownership across the Senior Partners and their companies, your role will include complex issues that will challenge your competencies and the need for you to acquire new knowledge on an ongoing basis especially within accounting.
