The programme, based in Group Finance, in the Central Office (HQ) of the Carlsberg Group in Copenhagen, takes our graduates through the different operations within a multinational Finance function. Throughout the 2-year programme consisting of three rotations, you will be exposed to several of the key disciplines in Finance: Accounting, Consolidation, Financial Planning, External Reporting, and Management Reporting. During the first two rotations in Group Finance, you will be working across regions and markets. The third rotation will be in a group-wide project or in the market outside the Central Office.
Rotations will allow you to:
- constantly communicate with colleagues in Carlsberg subsidiaries, regions, and functions in headquarters as part of your day-to-day work
- build a global network of highly skilled and motivated colleagues
- deep dive into accounting practices, ensuring Carlsberg’s financials are ready for internal and external use
- build extensive knowledge of the Group’s key financial systems, processes, and internal controls
- participate in creating, analyzing, and commenting on the financial reports and performance of Carlsberg
- work directly with senior management, both regularly, as well as for ad hoc finance projects
- be involved in projects and assignments directly related to the needs of Group Finance
- supporting finance operations in a Carlsberg subsidiary or in our Service Centre.
What we’re looking for with our future Finance Graduates
As a programme candidate, one of your most remarkable characteristics is your passion and your continuous strive for results. You are a skilled communicator with great presentation skills, and you understand how to convey sometimes complex information in a clear and understandable language. Changing situations and requirements does not scare you and even when things get tough, you stay focused, positive, and proactive. You have excellent analytical skills and a structured approach to your work. You can easily learn new technologies and apply them to your work. All the above you combine with a “can do” attitude and focus on succeeding together with others.
It's a requirement for all our global programmes that you:
- Have a relevant master's degree (or will obtain it this coming Summer)
- Speak and write in English at a high level
- Have relevant working experience including student jobs

How to apply and what to expect in the application process

Below you can get an idea about the steps that you will go through and the overall timeframe.
Step 1 - Applying
Once you have decided which programme is the right fit for you, the first step is to start your application. It’s important that you apply via thislink, otherwise, you will not be taken to the next step in the application process.The link will lead you to our external partner’s platform SoftFactors, where you’ll be guided through various steps covering:
- Contact info
- Online screening questions and some light assessments of your understanding of the role, your personality profile includes emotional intelligence and decision-making style
- Submitting your documents (we expect you to include a minimum of your CV, motivational letter and transcript of your latest grades)
The deadline for applying is Sunday the 1st of December 2024
It is a prerequisite that you apply through Softfactors, and all required documents are uploaded, as well as all assessments completed.
Step 2 – Online Assessment
We will review all candidates and come back to you at the latest on Monday the 16th of December to let you know if you have been selected to go further in the recruitment process. Selected candidates will be invited to do a thorough online assessment which amongst others includes a conflict assessment and an assessment of your communication style. It takes approximately 1 hour to fill out all assessments. You should complete these as soon as possible when you receive them. The exact deadline will be communicated to you together with the invitation, but we currently expect that the deadline will be the 6th of January 2025.
Step 3 – Assessment Day, Interviewing & Signing
Successful candidates from the online assessment step will receive an invitation for an Assessment Day no later than the 7th of February. The Assessment Day will be on-site in our Central Office in Copenhagen, and we expect it to be between the 5th and 6th of March. Further details about the Assessment Day will be communicated together with the invitation. Candidates who are not invited to an Assessment Day will be notified by email.
Based on the Assessment Day and all past results in the recruitment process, our preferred candidates will proceed to an extended interview. Details about the interview will be communicated together with the invitation.
Following this interview round there will be a final interview for the top candidates with an Executive VP or other senior stakeholder within the function before you are offered a contract. We expect to have signed contracts with all our future Graduates before the 1st of May.
The official start day for all our Graduate Programmes is the 1st of September 2025.
