People & Culture Manager, Benelux

In the role of People & Culture Manager for Benelux, you will play a vital part in our mission of Bringing People Closer.
The position is part-time, requiring 20-24 hours per week, and we provide considerable flexibility in scheduling your workdays. It’s a hybrid role, so some days will be spent working from home while others will be in the office.
The Team you will join:
In your role contributing to the growth of our P&C function, you will oversee P&C operations in the Netherlands and Belgium (approximately 120 full-time equivalents).
With support from the global People & Culture community, you will work autonomously while having a broad network throughout Benelux and global P&C. You will be based in GN Velp, covering our office in Eindhoven and occasionally the small office in Schiphol, focusing on two main priorities:
- Supporting local management teams across GN Hearing and GN Audio, optimizing synergies, and acting as a sparring partner on all P&C-related topics.
- Ensuring operational and legal compliance while managing high-volume employee lifecycle activities within the Benelux markets.
Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:
- Lead P&C efforts across the Benelux and the legal entities.
- Oversee day-to-day P&C functions, ensuring operational effectiveness, following up on the global annual P&C wheel, and facilitate alignment and initiatives to meet business priorities (e.g., recruitment, talent management, employee and leadership development, workers council collaboration, P&C administration, budget tracking, annual P&C processes, etc.).
- Promote cross-company culture initiatives in collaboration with leadership teams by shaping and implementing the people agenda and enhancing the employee experience through embedded P&C initiatives, change management, and communication.
- Ensure collaboration and alignment between global and local P&C processes by working closely with global HRBPs and Centers of Excellence (CoEs).
- Serve as a trusted P&C partner and advisor to leaders and management on all P&C-related topics.
- Lead local business transformation from a P&C perspective to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Manage the country’s P&C roadmap, continuously reviewing and improving all processes, systems, tools, policies, programs, and documents to ensure compliance with governance (federal, state, and local employment and labor laws) while aligning with company strategy, benefits, and culture.
- Actively encourage progress towards continuous improvement and standardization across the country regarding benefits, systems, practices, processes, tools, and contracts.
To succeed, we envision you bringing:
- Extensive P&C experience and knowledge of employment law in the Netherlands, along with experience working within the country.
- Knowledge of Belgian employment law is beneficial.
- Comprehensive interpersonal skills, including effective communication, interpersonal skills, readiness to adapt a team-oriented approach, a positive mindset, and reliability.
- Ability to negotiate and mediate in various P&C situations, resolving conflicts and reaching mutually beneficial agreements.
- Capacity to assessing problems, provide effective solutions, and proactively address issues, especially in complex and sensitive situations.
- Cultural awareness, with the ability to recognize, understand, and respect cultural differences and similarities constructively.
- Skill in prioritizing and balancing both strategic (soft) and operational (hard) People & Culture tasks.
- Proficiency in Workday or another comparable P&C system.
