THE POSITION
As a Quantitative Analyst in energy trading at PowerMart, you'll be at the forefront of one of the most dynamic and data-driven industries. Each day, you'll be challenged to apply advanced quantitative methods to analyze market conditions, predict trends, and support trading strategies. You will play a crucial role in shaping trading decisions and managing risk.
Among your responsibilities are:
- Developing and maintaining quantitative models .
- Collaborating closely with our trading teams.
- Analysing large and complex datasets from various energy markets, using statistical, econometric, and machine learning techniques.
- Staying up to date with market developments and adjusting models to reflect new market dynamics.
To succeed in the job, you need to:
- Have a strong quantitative background, preferably with a degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Physics, or a related field.
- Understand financial markets and risk management, ideally with experience or a strong interest in energy or commodities markets.
- Be proficient in programming languages such as Python, as well as SQL for handling large datasets.
- Be a critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, capable of translating complex data into actionable trading strategies.
- Possess strong communication skills and be able to explain quantitative findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The position is full-time and can be based in either Aarhus or Copenhagen, Denmark.
