As a Mechanical Category Manager, you will be a key member of the cross-functional Value Engineering Team, driving cost-out opportunities and process improvements within your assigned mechanical categories. Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will align procurement strategies with the goals of Bang & Olufsen’s Value Engineering program to optimize performance and foster innovation.

This is a dynamic role where you will oversee supplier relationships, execute category-specific Value Engineering initiatives, and contribute to defining efficient ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Supplier Account Manager for top-tier mechanical suppliers in specific categories.

• Drive Value Engineering activities across Bang & Olufsen’s supply base, ensuring supplier commitment to program goals.

• Evaluate cost-out opportunities and balance efforts and investments collaboratively with the Value Engineering team.

• Define commercial models and execution plans for Value Engineering projects within your supply base.

• Manage and develop supplier relationships in alignment with Bang & Olufsen’s Global Procurement strategy.

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Atelier deliveries for your category.

• Participate in road-mapping and defining ways of working for Value Engineering processes.

What You Bring
We are looking for a self-driven professional with a strong background in procurement and category management, particularly in mechanical components.

Moreover, you bring:

• Proven track record as a procurement/category/commodity manager with expertise in Value Engineering, cost-saving initiatives, and total cost optimization.

• Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and stakeholder management skills.

• Analytical capabilities to assess cost-out opportunities and manage complex supply chains.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders from shop floor to C-suite.

• Experience working in a global organization with diverse teams.

• Experience with SAP will be preferred.

Location: Struer, Denmark
Travel: 20-30 days a year abroad
