You will oversee tax items, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with finance, legal, and business units to support strategic decision-making and mitigate tax risks. Additionally, you develop strategic relationships with key internal and external partners, serving as a tax expert within the Group Finance community.

This is what your typical day looks like
- Supporting in providing strategic and technical tax support by developing recommendations to minimize and/or monitor tax risk for the GLS Group and its subsidiaries in Europe and North America
- Support tax director on complex tax (compliance) matters
- Handle timely and accurate preparation, review and consultative services for tax compliance within the specific GLS business
- Supporting in analysing of complex tax issues and make recommendations to senior management and finance teams in the GLS entities
- Actively review and monitor federal, state and international legislation and regulatory pronouncements to ensure compliance with current requirements
- Where required review, recommend and support implementation of tax reporting and accounting policies
- Support the Group tax accounting process (interim and full year), assisting in liaising with IDS Group tax colleagues, supplying the necessary documentation, including tax position papers and input in other judgmental areas
- Provide support on Transfer Pricing files
- Interacting with the companies’ external auditors

- Bachelor/master degree required
- Professional tax qualifications (e.g. Chartered Tax Advisor)
- Minimum 5 years of tax work experience preferred
- Experience in a Big 4 Accounting and Professional Services firm preferred
- High ethical standards
- Able to work independently & highly confidential
- Flexible and pragmatic
- Prepared to get involved in detail
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
