About the job
As our new Indirect Purchasing Manager, you will be part of the Business Unit Sourcing function, working in a dedicated team with high degree of diversity. Your new colleagues are working with direct spend, thus this is a newly established role. In your role, you will take responsibility for establishing and developing a well-functioning setup for indirect purchasing within Business Unit Heat & Gas Systems in Europe. You will ensure efficient management of safety, compliance, quality, and cost control, while driving impactful projects at both local and regional levels. Some of your main tasks include:

  • Lead the purchasing of indirect materials and services in Europe for Business Unit Heat and Gas Systems.
  • Structure and maintain the scope of indirect spend categories.
  • Develop and implement processes for indirect purchasing, ensuring compliance at all stages.
  • Identify, align and drive cost reduction activities as well as projects to meet site targets, including efficiency improvements.
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, contract, and implement key suppliers.
  • Support and safeguard that contracts made by Global Indirect Purchasing (GIP) are followed.
  • Monitor the performance of indirect suppliers and take corrective actions as necessary.

This is not a managerial position; however, due to the level of responsibility, we designate it as a manager role.

What you know

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree, ideally a master’s degree in Business Economics or similar.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Indirect Purchasing with a proven track record.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities, assess risks, and develop effective strategies.

What will put you ahead

  • You are proficient in using e-procurement software and tools, such as e-auctions.
  • Collaborative approach and excellent interpersonal skills.

As part of a global organization, speaking and writing English fluently is a prerequisite.
