The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Software Developer to lead and contribute to the development of high-quality software solutions within the Motrix department.
In this role, you will be responsible for the overall success of your team’s deliverables, ensuring they adhere to architectural, design, and coding standards. You will play a pivotal role in project analysis, estimation, design, and quality assurance while driving innovation and technical excellence.
Your expertise will also shape technical strategy, mentor team members, and enhance collaboration across departments to deliver impactful solutions that meet business objectives and exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
Project Analysis and Estimation:
- Analyze new projects and provide feedback to customers regarding business and technical implications.
- Estimate project timelines and resource requirements.
Project Design and Architecture:
- Design ongoing projects in adherence to agreed-upon architectural, design, and coding guidelines.
- Take responsibility for the architecture and design, ensuring guideline compliance within the development team.
Quality Assurance and Testing:
- Ensure rigorous testing practices, including unit testing and integration testing, are followed.
- Ensure that the software solution is delivered in the expected quality by the customer.
Technical Strategy and Leadership:
- Contribute to the development of the technical strategy in collaboration with the team manager.
- Serve as a role model for other team members, fostering a constructive and positive attitude.
- Coach and guide other developers in the team.
- Follow and promote the agreed architectural guidelines and development process within the team.
Technology Research and Innovation:
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in software development.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies or tools that can enhance project efficiency and quality.
The Team:
The Software team consists of 2 teams with developers from Denmark and Hungary divided into tracks, each with a dedicated responsibility area.
Main stakeholders are the Digital departments and all business areas in Abacus Medicine.
About you:
We are seeking someone with:
- A degree in web development, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development.
- Proven programming expertise in C# and knowledge of MVC/Razor and SQL.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes, including automated testing, deployment, and release practices.
- Preferable experience with Azure and DevOps
