The role
As a Digital Client Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the growth of Viaplay’s digital ad sales business. You will assist in prospecting new leads, nurturing client relationships, and supporting campaign optimization efforts. The ideal candidate will bring experience in digital ad sales and have established relationships within the media industry, which will help drive revenue growth and enhance our partnerships.
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Research and identify new business opportunities, including media agencies, programmatic trading desks, and brands in need of digital advertising solutions.
- Assist in outreach efforts to generate interest, including cold calling, email campaigns, and following up with leads.
- Qualify new leads, maintain an organized list of potential clients, and keep track of communication for future outreach.
- Support senior team members in managing relationships with key stakeholders, including media agencies, trading desks, and clients.
- Assist in handling client inquiries, providing support on digital advertising solutions, and helping maintain ongoing communications.
- Leverage established relationships within the media industry to facilitate introductions, build trust, and create opportunities for business growth.
- Assist with the setup, monitoring, and optimization of digital ad campaigns, ensuring they align with client objectives.
- Collaborate with senior team members to analyze campaign performance and provide insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Ensure client goals and KPIs are met by actively managing the day-to-day execution of campaigns.
- Develop and expand your understanding of programmatic advertising platforms (e.g., DSPs, SSPs) and tools used to optimize campaign performance.
- Stay informed about digital advertising trends, programmatic developments, and best practices within the industry.
- Conduct research and help provide insights to clients on emerging trends and how Viaplay’s solutions can help meet their needs.
- Work alongside internal teams, including ad operations, product, and marketing, to ensure smooth campaign execution and maximum client satisfaction.
- Assist in preparing presentations, proposals, and pitches for new and existing clients.
- Collaborate with senior team members to help expand Viaplay's media partnerships and improve the sales process.
Experience in Digital Ad Sales:
- Previous experience in digital ad sales or media buying, with a good understanding of the digital advertising landscape and programmatic platforms.
- Established relationships within the media industry (e.g., media agencies, trading desks, advertisers) that can be leveraged for business development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to professionally interact with clients, media agencies, and internal teams.
- Ability to build trust with clients and stakeholders, supporting long-term relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively, with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines while maintaining high service standards.
- Experience with digital media planning tools, analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), and CRM systems.
- Familiarity with programmatic platforms (e.g., The Trade Desk, MediaMath, Xandr) and other ad tech tools is a plus.
- A performance-driven mindset, focused on achieving client goals and improving campaign results.
- Ability to analyze data, assess campaign performance, and implement optimization strategies.
- Proactive, with a solutions-oriented mindset and eagerness to learn and grow within the digital advertising field.
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative, dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-first approach.
Education and Qualifications:
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in digital ad sales or programmatic advertising, with a solid understanding of the industry.
- Certifications or additional training in programmatic advertising or ad tech platforms is a plus.
