The position
Your primary tasks will consist of, but are not limited to:
• Lead the design, procurement, installation, and integration of shuttle cranes, convey-ors, palletizers, and similar material handling equipment.
• Ensure smooth connection and compatibility between new equipment and existing IT and automation systems in a 24/7 production environment.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, perform error de-tection and analysis, and ensure systems comply with GXP standards.
As part of a large-scale, fully automated material handling expansion—the most significant in our site’s history—you will work on a complex and dynamic portfolio of projects over the com-ing years.
Your role will include supporting processes through analysis, validation, and optimization with-in a Lean production framework. Joining this team means being a part of the innovative effort to build Novo Nordisk’s warehouse and material handling system of the future in Hillerød.
Qualifications
To qualify for the position, we envision that:
• You have approximately 5 years of experience in material handling and automation systems.
• You have proven experience with warehouse systems, transport, and integration of large systems.
• You have knowledge related to automation, installation, and commissioning of inte-grated systems.
• Fluency in spoken and written English is essential; Danish is a plus but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, bar code scanners, cranes, or shuttles is highly advan-tageous.
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering and at least 5 years of professional experience. Candidates with exposure to GMP environ-ments or technical roles involving vendors, IT/OT, and automation are preferred. A technical flair and collaborative mindset are important for this role, especially when working with multi-disciplinary teams.
Having experience with warehouse transport, material handling systems, or automation sys-tems is highly valued, as is a background in installing and commissioning integrated systems.

About The Department
You will be part of the dynamic and ambitious Support team, where we handle all develop-ment, improvement and error investigations in the Warehouse and Material handling system. Our challenge right now is to execute an increasing portfolio of projects and implementing new solutions with minimum impact on the ongoing production. We are therefore looking for experienced people that can get going right away handling systems as well as projects withing facility and building.
