The job
Here’s what the job entails
Your primary focus will be to assist in ensuring that our trade-controlling operations are executed accurately, which means you will undertake continuous operational tasks and provide input to optimise existing processes.
Concretely, your responsibilities include:
- controlling and validating trades
- handling confirmations within power, gas and certificates
- clearing exchange trades
- handling deliveries of certificates and updating the inventory tool
- assisting in various data checks as well as entering and cleaning up master data
- ensuring proper documentation of processes and workflows
- providing input to optimise our existing models and processes to increase efficiency

You will join our Trade Controlling & Reporting team, which consists of seven skilled, quality-minded and committed colleagues who connect Danske Commodities’ value chain by ensuring proper trade controlling, timely reporting and high-quality master data. Gathering these tasks in one team creates a more efficient operational trading setup, which paves the way for us to grow our business.
You will play an important role in connecting Danske Commodities’ entire value chain by helping ensure proper trade controlling, timely reporting and high-quality master data.

To secure well-running business operations, we are looking for someone who employs a detail-oriented and analytical approach to problem-solving, and who sees opportunities where others see challenges. We also picture you as someone who takes a positive view and is ready to assist with both small and big tasks, as the team covers a wide range of responsibilities, and we always help each other get the job done.
We also imagine that you:
- are enrolled in a relevant education, such as Business Administration or Economics
- can work approximately 15 hours a week
- have a flair for working with data and new systems
- have great stakeholder management skills, as you will collaborate with colleagues across teams
- are proficient in English – both written and verbal
Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.
