Teaching and Learning Specialist
DIS, Danish Institute for Study Abroad
We are expanding our Faculty Learning Lab, and we are excited to welcome a new Teaching and Learning Specialist to our team. This role is based in Stockholm and will focus on supporting faculty development, particularly for our Stockholm-based faculty.
The Learning Lab is part of the Academic department at DIS, an international study abroad organization with offices in Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Minnesota. We take pride in our distinct pedagogical approach, where the city serves as a classroom through field studies and academically integrated study tours. In the classroom, our faculty create inclusive learning communities that prioritize active student engagement and learning. Many of our faculty members “teach what they do,” integrating their professional experiences as lawyers, doctors, poets, economists, and more into their teaching. They share a common passion for their subjects, and we aim to elevate their work by expanding the services of the Faculty Learning Lab, in particular by offering more support to our faculty in Stockholm.
As a Teaching and Learning Specialist, you will collaborate with our 40 full-time and 260 part-time faculty across Copenhagen and Stockholm, providing guidance and support to enhance their teaching practices to align with our DIS values.
We're looking for candidates who are passionate about education, skilled in innovative teaching strategies, and have a proven track record in designing experiential and inclusive learning experiences. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply!
