We are expanding our activities and currently looking for a passionate and analytical Student Assistant/Junior Analyst who would like to join an international and multicultural environment in downtown Aalborg or Copenhagen.
About the role
You will join our Origination team which delivers project origination and market, policy and regulatory advisory and project integration. Being a part of Origination entails coordination and collaboration across the entire organization, which means you will be working with an eclectic range of talented colleagues, from GIS specialists to finance, business case modelling, energy planners, power market specialists, route-to-market advisors, and engineers across multiple fields.
We seek a highly motivated, creative and detail-oriented Junior Analyst to join our team. You will be involved in a variety of projects, and you get the opportunity to develop and challenge your competencies and knowledge in practice.
The Junior Analyst will be primarily responsible for conducting data analysis, GIS mapping, generating reports, and supporting various teams across the organization with originating new projects and delivering advisory to our clients.
Your accountabilities are likely to vary, but your main tasks will include:
- GIS mapping and data manipulation
- Support developing a project hypothesis around new project ideas and support driving the early-stage project Origination.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing key findings.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and provide various forms of ad-hoc support.
- Market research as part of identifying project opportunities in new markets.
- Assist in collecting, understanding, and applying new GIS data sets to provide insight into renewable energy challenges and opportunities.
In this role, we expect you to work 10-15 hours on average per week, possibly adding more hours and with a minimum of one full day at the office (8-16). It is essential for us that you take care of your studies, which means we are flexible in exam periods and when facing project deadlines.
Being a global company, we also offer opportunities to travel abroad for internships in cases where it is relevant.
Our headquarters in Aalborg, John F. Kennedys Plads 43, or our Copenhagen office in Nordhavn at Tromsøgade 2, will be your working place.
About You

Preferably, we expect you to enrich our business with the following experience and skills:
- GIS experience and capabilities to create maps and conduct simple data manipulation tasks like creating buffers, area size and distance calculations and other simple tasks.
- A solid understanding of energy systems and dynamics between gas, electricity and heating systems.
- A basic understanding of the following energy production and conversion technologies: Wind turbines, solar PV, gas/coal power plants, electrolyzers, storage options.
- Experience with energy system simulations and business case metrics such as: levelized cost of energy (LCoE), net present value (NPV) and discount rate.
- A basic understanding of the complexities of developing and planning for new infrastructure projects: permitting & environmental, land zoning and municipal planning and stakeholder involvement.
- Preferably, you are enrolled on a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a planning field related (e.g., Urban, Energy and Environmental planning, land surveying, energy engineering or equivalent).
