Novonesis is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure and Operations Manager to lead our global compute and datacenter operations team. Welcome to IT infrastructure services
You will be joining a newly established leadership team dedicated to delivering a flexible, resilient, and secure IT infrastructure. In this role, you will act as both a people manager and the product owner of the compute & datacenter domain. You will oversee a team of 7 direct reports and lead the global compute product team, which currently includes 13 members responsible for operating, maintaining, and developing the compute infrastructure. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with architects, product owners, and project managers in IT Infrastructure Services, as well as stakeholders across IT and Novonesis.
IT Infrastructure Services currently comprises 43 employees and externals. This team was formed six months ago following the merger between Chr. Hansen and Novozymes. As the manager, you will play a crucial role in driving organizational changes while ensuring continuous operation and service delivery.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:
- Ensuring the operational stability and performance of hybrid IT infrastructure services, seamlessly spanning on-premises data centers, private clouds, and public clouds, including network (Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki), datacenter (VMware, Windows, and Linux servers), and cloud environments (AWS and Azure).

- Developing and implementing strategies to maintain and enhance the stability, security, and scalability of the hybrid IT infrastructure.

- Leading and managing an international IT operations team, ensuring effective deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems.

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of the global organization.

- Monitoring and analyzing infrastructure performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.

- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and communication regarding infrastructure and operations.

- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize IT operations and infrastructure management processes.

- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

- Overseeing incident and problem management, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.

- Managing vendor relationships and contracts to ensure optimal service delivery and cost efficiency.

Potentially relevant experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, managing hybrid IT infrastructure and operations in a complex global organization, with a strong focus on on-premises and cloud environments.

- Extensive knowledge and experience with both on-premises and cloud environments, including a solid foundation in ITIL principles and practices.

- Solid foundation in ITIL principles and practices.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.

Preferred Certifications
- ITIL 4 Foundation or higher certification.

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional.

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP).

- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Travel
- Occasional travel may be required.
