The positions
As our new colleague, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of test and quality assurance throughout the complete feature development process, emphasizing early test involvement.
In addition to that, some of your key tasks will be to:

  • Ask all the critical questions, understand the assignment, ensure close cooperation with all stakeholders like developers, product owners, designers, and project managers.
  • Test plan, ensure new features have a testable design, create test documentation, ensure verification of training content and software installations.
  • Ensure the quality assurance and quality control processes and standards are followed in the most efficient way to create qualitative software.
  • Participate in all test activities like System Test, Bug Hunt and suite integration testing.

Joining the team
You will be welcomed as part of the Defence Service Products department which consists of 28 members. Since the department and the product are the most recent in the Defence business unit, the team is rapidly growing and will be increased during 2024-2025. In cooperation with this committed and highly skilled group of testers and developers, placed in Aarhus, DK and Bucharest, RO, you will accelerate the development process of our new and innovative training solution, SitaWare Aspire.

The test team in Aspire currently consists of three members that work together with two scrum development teams, two Software Architects, two Product Owners, one User Experience Designer and two Project Managers. Besides the two scrum teams, you will become a part of the overall Test Team in Defence which consists of 46 Test Engineers, Test Managers, Test Interns and student workers.

Your qualifications
Looking for a new colleague, we are hoping to find someone who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or something similar. Furthermore, we are looking for someone who is skilled in software testing and brings at least a few years of experience. If you have a background within Defence, that would be an advantage but it is not a requirement.

As a Test Engineer in Aspire, you can expect to work with the following technologies and tools, so experience herein is beneficial:

  • Linux CLI
  • Bash and PowerShell
  • Docker
  • Git
  • JIRA, Xray and R4J

In this role, you might experience a small amount of travel. Expect a maximum of 5-10 days a year.

Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
