Leica Geosystems Machine Control Division is driven to create solutions that improve safety and sustainability while increasing productivity and efficiency for our customers’ road construction and other civil engineering projects.
We now have an opportunity for an experienced product engineer to join our Excavator team in Product Management at Leica Geosystems Machine Control Division in Odense, Denmark.

We are offering a position in our Product Management Organization, interfacing with R&D, Aftermarket, Operations and Sales. We service customers globally based on our practical and hands-on way of working, and we have established an excellent team with focus on fulfilling the needs of our customers.
THIS APPEALS TO YOU
As a Product Engineer specializing in our excavator application your main focus will be on driving the technical implementation of formal business cases by providing detailed documentation. Additionally, you will be acting as a facilitator between various departments to ensure accurate delivery of requirements, documentation, and execution of policies and processes. The role is to support the Product Manager as the internal technical expert for our excavator solutions, driving customer-centric innovation to deliver exceptional end-user products and experiences.
- You will be creating detailed documentation outlining specifications and requirements for product development.
- You will work closely with our R&D teams during implementation of features and functionalities.
- You contribute to market analyses that identify all relevant current and future market elements such as trends, patterns, and opportunities for product enhancement that will determine product success. The analyses will typically include elements such as market needs, competitive product features in the marketplace, competitor strategies, market segmentation, etc.
- You provide input to the divisions roadmap and supporting documentation needed in decision making on future product investments.
- You support the Product Manager in Go-To-Market strategies and positioning of products and features.
THIS IS YOU
You have a formal relevant education, Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Surveying, Business, Technology) or equivalent combination of education and experience. - You have strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets, ability to rapidly grasp customers' requirements and technical solutions.

- You have a strong technical understanding, preferably of heavy construction machinery
- You are passionate about understanding user needs and have a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.

- You understand what it takes to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and represent the company professionally.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at multiple levels and functions.
- Experience in working as part of a product development process, Scrum, Agile SAFE frameworks are seen as a plus.
- Knowledge and or experience in heavy construction or mining industries is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in English, other languages are considered a bonus.
